The Mitchells vs. The Machines picked up by Netflix

Netflix has bought the worldwide distribution rights to Sony Pictures Animation's film The Mitchells vs the Machines (previously titled Unconnected)

THE MITCHELLS VS. THE MACHINES is an original animated comedy about an everyday family's struggle to relate while technology rises up around the world! When Katie Mitchell (voiced by Abbi Jacobson), a creative outsider, is accepted into the film school of her dreams, her plans to meet “her people” at college are upended when her nature-loving dad Rick (voiced by Danny McBride) determines the whole family should drive Katie to school together and bond as a family one last time.


This isn't a surprising move as Netflix has purchased a few distribution rights since the pandemic kicked off back in March 2020, having already acquiring rights to films such as The Trial of the Chicago 7; Enola Holmes; and The Lovebirds.


The release date is unknown currently for The Mitchells vs. The Machines, but the trailer can be seen below:
